The role of the FAO Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Central Region (CRC) is to bring together its member countries to harmonize efforts and coordinate activities related to desert locust monitoring, preparedness, and control. Through regional collaboration, the CRC enhances early warning systems, strengthens national capacities, and promotes integrated strategies to manage and mitigate desert locust threats effectively.
